Some of these pictures are way too much. That baby looks like it's wondering just what the hell it got born into. Nicole Richie looks like she accidentally got knocked up by the developmentally challenged gardener and is trying to pass his ass off as functional. Here's Nicole and father to her baby Joel Madden posing all over Harper's Bazaar. Nicole's dad Lionel Richie is in on the action, too.
Nicole is all jazzed about being a Mom (when she actually sees her child). She says that the one thing she doesn't do is change diapers. She leaves that to the baby's father.
"It's his time with her. He sings to her. ... He laughs with her, plays with her. It's amazing," she says. Well, I'm glad someone's actually interacting with that child.
Nicole says the very presence of their child Harlow has supposedly caused her friends to tone down their trashy behavior.
"I feel like my group of five to 10 friends, they really love her, like she's theirs ... My friends never go outside for smoke breaks anymore, they don't curse, they are definitely more demure. It's actually been really interesting," she says.
Yeah, I'm sure Paris Hilton has stopped spreading her legs for every Tom, Dick, and Harry just because you gave birth. She may have curbed her smoking but I still wouldn't let her near the baby unless she boils herself first.

Where's your baby? Nicole Richie, her dad Lionel, Justin Timberlake, and Fergie were among some of the celebrities who attended the 25th Annual Pop Music Awards sponsored by ASCAP. ASCAP collects public-performance royalties for its member songwriters and copyright owners. Get that paper, oldies!
Lionel and Steve Miller of "Fly Like An Eagle", "Abracadabra", and every unimaginative musically inclined frat boy you ever met fame received Golden Note lifetime achievement awards for all their years in the biz.
"I never saw myself receiving any awards or doing anything," Steve Miller, 64, said during his acceptance speech. Miller took to the stage and performed six songs. SIX SONGS? Did these people know they were in for a Steve Miller show at the Kodak Theatre? It must have reeked of weed. Were people playing hackey sack and drinking Keystone in between bong hits?
Timbaland took the award for Songwriter of the Year, and Fergie and Gwen Stefani tied for the Song of the Year awards with "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "The Sweet Escape." Who voted for THAT song? If there was one pop song last year that could inspire a hack-n-slash, it was that one.
Lionel didn't perform, but he did scream at Nicole to go home and actually hang out with his grandchild. Ok, he didn't but he should have! Da Brat obviously isn't watching the kid like she was paid $20 to if she showed up! You know she's had to resort to that ever since she and Missy Elliot broke up years ago.

Now it's Lionel Richie's turn to give his two cents about his daughter's behavior, surprising absolutely no one with the truth bombs he's raining down on us.
"My daughter has made some mistakes in her life and has accepted responsibility for her actions," Lionel tells Usmagazine.com. "She has not blamed others for her problems and is growing up very quickly, albeit in the heat of the media spotlight. "
Oh Lionel. You seem like a nice enough guy. But this whole "growing up very quickly" mess is probably because this is the first bit of growing up she's had to do in her whole twenty-five year existence. Let's be real. And by the way, is it me you're looking for?

While Lionel Richie is concerned about Nicole Richie's dramatic weight loss, he claims that she's not anorexic. It's a stress thing.
"I stood in front of [the doctor], just like you and I now, looked him in the eyes, and I said 'Is it anorexia?' And he said 'It isn't anorexia,'" the musician told the Swedish newspaper Expressen, according to our translator. He says Nicole's weight loss is "stress-related" and he believes it's due to his divorce from her mother and from all the media attention his daughter gets.
"I live with the constant fear that Nicole is going to become the next Princess Diana," Richie said, apparently referring to the late royal's death while she was being pursued by paparazzi. "Just to give an example of how crazy everything has become, I always know when Nicole is on her way home because she is always followed by a helicopter and seven cars. It's harassment."
But, he claims, photos of Nicole have been digitized to make her look even skinnier than she is. "Many times, they manipulate pictures of her," he says. "She's shown me the difference between the original and what's published in the newspaper. They make her look much worse."
And it's a conspiracy thing. Plus, why did he have to throw in the Princess Diana thing? He may have been overstating the "helicopter and seven cars" claim just a tad.

In an interview with "Access Hollywood," Lionel Richie spoke about his daughter's weight loss and the surrounding media frenzy.
"I'll be honest with you, it hurts me more than it hurts her," Richie tells the glossy entertainment news show in an interview set to air Monday. "I must tell you, I'm the basket case."
Richie continued by stating that he has spoken many times with his daughter about her weight and his concern that she has lost too much over recent years. "Of course, I mean, what are fathers for if you can't point the finger every once in awhile," he tells "Access Hollywood."
I know it must be tough watching your child grown up, get caught up in partying and drugs, go to rehab and then lose so much weight, you wonder if she has an eating disorder. But seriously, do you think that maybe it's a good indication that you shouldn't have LET HER HAVE ANYTHING SHE WANTED growing up???
